At the beginning it was a simple study for portrait anatomy, which went wrong, must confess. Then I begun to draw loosely some elements and at home start to speculate if this could be a good hypothesis for the next Avatar movie, which should be played under the seas. The pose reminds me a little of when Jack met for the first time those strange creatures coming from the Hometree.

The whole artwork is stunning, but hands... HANDS! The right one look so amazing and realistic, that I almost feel the texture.

hands and neck were drawn looking at a picture of myself to practice anatomy, so there are all the wrinkles and imperfections (well, not ALL details are identical :D )
There was a previous version which I think was better, but the file went corrupted and I had to repaint a large strip of hands and shoulder.
